Making a prediction on Versus is quick and intuitive. Here’s everything you need to know about entering positions.

Quick Entry Flow

Select a Market

Browse the Terminal or tap a market from your feed. Each market shows the event, current odds, and key stats.

Choose Your Outcome

Tap the outcome you want to predict. This could be Yes/No, Team A/Team B, or multiple options depending on the market type.

Set Your Amount

Enter how many tokens you want to commit. The interface shows your potential payout based on current odds.

Confirm & Submit

Review your prediction details and tap “Confirm Prediction” to lock in your position.

The Prediction Modal

When you tap an outcome, the prediction modal appears:

Understanding Odds

Odds are shown as percentages representing the market’s implied probability:
  • 65% = Market believes this outcome has a 65% chance
  • 35% = Market believes this has a 35% chance
Lower probability outcomes offer higher payouts if correct.
Your potential payout is calculated as:
Payout = Amount / (Odds / 100)

Example:
Amount: 100 tokens
Odds: 40%
Payout: 100 / 0.40 = 250 tokens
Profit: 150 tokens (150% return)
After your prediction:
  • Your entry odds are locked
  • Market odds continue to move based on new predictions
  • Your PnL is calculated against your entry, not current odds
You profit when you’re correct, regardless of how odds move after entry.

Order Types

Market Order

Instant execution at current odds
  • Executes immediately
  • Best for time-sensitive predictions
  • May experience slight slippage on large orders

Limit Order

Execute only at your target odds
  • Set your desired entry price
  • Order fills when market reaches your level
  • Expires if not filled by market close

Before submitting, you’ll see a summary:

Predictions cannot be cancelled or modified after submission. Double-check before confirming!

Post-Submission

After entering a prediction:
  1. Confirmation Toast: Success notification with position details
  2. Portfolio Update: Position appears in your active positions
  3. Feed Post: Activity visible to friends (unless in Stealth Mode)
  4. Notifications: You’ll be alerted when the market resolves

Common Questions

You cannot modify an existing position, but you can:
  • Enter an opposing position to hedge
  • Wait for resolution
The odds shown when you tap “Confirm” are locked for a few seconds. If you take too long, you’ll be prompted to confirm the new odds.
Position limits are in place for:
  • Market integrity
  • Risk management
  • Fair play (preventing single-user domination)
